In progress: 1/3 of the quilt I’m making for Sam’s bed. Everything except the yellow accent pieces are his old burp cloths. For the back I’m using an old flannel sheet Nana just gave me. It’s been around since my childhood, and probably a few decades before that, and it’s the sheet that Papa always wanted tucked around him during his last year. I’m still learning how to do precision work (as opposed to improv), but I did learn through the way this quilt is constructed that although I thought my problem was sewing a straight line and consistent quarter inch seam, I’m actually a lot better at that. I’m still really struggling with measuring and cutting correctly. Advice or resources welcome!
